The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I remember those days 😳 I don't watch them that young anymore, but people are in no hurry to potty train their kids. When they are out for breaks of any kind -it's so much worse.

Afternoon Sean :frow hope your day is going well
They can’t seem to figure out they have to train at home too. They expect us to work miracles.

@JaeG I'll never forget my heart leaping into my chest the first time I saw a chick napping 🤭 How is Hoppy? Is she settling in?

She's pretty chilled out all round. She won't come out of the cage yet by herself, and I don't like lifting her too much because they don't like it, but she's still getting used to being inside (until we can make her a safe cage outside). But she seems to love a pat and a head rub, and she's so patient with DS.

:loveawe that's great! It took Hop Tart a few days to adjust too.

My oldest start to finish was 2 weeks. My second was not as quick...a few months. He apparently didn’t mind wet diapers. I was lucky I could stay home with them and they never went to daycare.
The oldest two did not have daycare until they were in grammar school. The baby went to day care from 6 months old. It was a lot different and very stressful to have to drop her off!

She is very cute!

Not much really, work (if you can call it that) a couple hours a week and getting stuff done at home. Normally I'm not here much, so lots to do if I want 😉 This will be a very long summer.

How are things going with you? 😊
Spring coop cleaning and building a run, pulling weeds and making fresh lasagna.

The little stinkers do look dead sometimes when they nap!
I found a newly hatched chick out of the nest box today. It was limp as a rag. Thought it was dead. I picked it up, and talked to it. It opened its eyes, and then closed them. He felt cold. I took him into the house and put him in the incubator. Later in the day I came in for a break and there was a chick peeping really loud. It was him! Settled in with the other chicks.
