True to a certain degree, but you can 'pick' to not engage with toxic members of your family. I 'divorced' myself from one sister on the day that we buried Mom, and it is one of the best things that I have ever done.

I thought it was pretty too. But apparently my brother dropped off a fabulous meatloaf that she really liked so flowers/vase versus meatloaf? Meh.

i would have rather had the flowers, meatloaf isn't my cup of tea altho i make it for husband all the time

i've also done that with a brother and husband's one sister

I like my brother just fine. My sisters 2 daughters...fuhgedaboutit. At least I don't have to see them but rarely, they live way down in AL.
