Hi Sue! We are being stupid and going shopping today. I hope we don’t regret it. South Dakota is open. I know some places require masks. I have them and wipes along.

I had a buyer like yours, last year he convinced me to hatch later in the year than I ever do, because my brooder's are not in heated areas... Birds hatched, he messaged me saying family emergency could I keep them a week. Of course the answer was okay. Didn't hear from him again until a couple weeks ago, he's wanting to buy started pullets... Nope, not dealing with him again. Besides, I lost most of the 34 birds from that hatch, because I couldn't keep them warm enough.

It's funny, I have not had a problem keeping chicks warm in winter, even when we lived in TN. My brooders are quite well enclosed and I try to use 2 heat sources in case one fails.

It follows the themes of the book. I read the book a very long time ago and did enjoy the movie

The book was outstanding/mesmerizing - the movie was good.
