The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi Bob, you also!

Hi Sour

Hi Sue! We are still camping. It is Windy! The humidity is starting to pick up. We’ll head home in a couple hours. It’s been nice to get away from home.

Its always good to get away for awhile, I haven't gone camping in ages. Glad you had a good time 😁

Good morning Bob, Sue, DMC, IM, Sour (hope I didn't forget anyone)!

Allergies woke me up at 1:30am so had to go back to bed for a while. I think I'm good now!

Good morning Debby :frow hope your allergies are better. Have a great Sunday

Good morning everyone! :)

Good morning Chrissy :frow have a great Sunday

I hope so, if not, I'll buy local but I need to put up whole and diced tomatoes as well as tomato sauce. I'd also like to get some beans and peas put up. I'd like to get some corn and broccoli frozen as well. Next year I'll need to grow some pumpkin and butternut squash, since we're getting low on them.

:frow Good morning Chrissy, have a great day

How do you put up your pumpkin and squash?

1" cubes in heavy syrup and pressure can. Goose Neck Pumpkin is the easiest to work with.

The garden is in, and mulch is down... And I have yellow zucchini about 1 1/2" long already.

Seems like no happy medium. We were up to 93° feels like temperature today. Sunny and humid.
I had a laugh at hubby today. He couldn't find the ladder where I was using it at the hoop coop. So I went down there with him. 20 feet before we got there, it was clearly visible in front of the run! :lau a 6 foot ladder!

Hi Cap, your ladder story reminded me of this funny I shared with some other members a while back:

Sorry guys, you know it's true!

You guys are pretty warm up there! Is there some way of protecting your plants?

It's chilly here today...64* and windy with a chance of rain. I'm grateful for my sweatshirt today!
We are up to 99 now. We need rain. Hard to believe after the last couple years of way too much. We have these field tiles on there but they aren’t high enough.
