The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

got to go in the nursing home to see my sissie today, she had fallen last week, or maybe the first of this past week, either way i found out two day after, she fractured her hip, when i was informed i decided not to let them operate on her hip(i remember how that turned out for my mil) so today i get another call from the visiting nurse telling me i should go see her that shes not doing well, she has a liquid cough and going down hill. i was surprised that they allowed us in but i got to see her and talk to her, she didn't open her eyes ( one eye) til the of the visit when i was holding her hands and telling her i loved her. shes lost a lot of weight and now doesn't talk, but she will grunt at you i guess to let you know she knows you're there. i suppose its getting time for her to leave

:hugs I'm sorry Sharron.

She seems to know you are there and that was a comfort for her

thank you jae, i knew it was coming, thats one reason i wouldn't let them operate, that and knowing, what could they do with a fracture? not like a broken bone. shes wanted to die for years now, she used to ask me to get her pills so she could. she had a good life and now i firmly believe when she does pass, she'll be back with family

your little chicks are sure cute, i have the bantam cochins, and have two little frizzles in the baby cage, had sold their father a couple of weeks ago not knowing i had set two of his eggs, have to admit, going to keep both of them, a little hen and cockerel, i think hes going to look like his father the little hen is gorgeous , will have to take a pic and show everyone
also have the chickens in my avatar too,

Hope you both have a lovely day.

:fl you've dodged that bullet.

I am worried about all of you over there.
Thanks Jae!
Had to share some photos of our chicks.

I had Squeaks (the OEGB pullet) on one arm this morning and the two Waipahi's on the other. The two Waipahi's were heavier. They are 3 weeks old, Squeaks is 10 weeks.

There is nothing feminine about Bikkie. 🤣 He's a lot heavier than his sister.

You were very smart to not allow the operation

Sharron, I'm so sorry. Even when we know it's time for them to go, it is so incredibly difficult. :hugs:hugs

Good morning everyone!

The trip to Casper went well but I was so tired by the time we got home yesterday I never did get on here...trying to catch up now.

Sharron, I'm glad you're able to see your sister. Big hugs to you :hugs

Bob, hope Sue was able to enjoy getting outside yesterday and the sunlight didn't bother her too much. The 9th will be here quickly!

Deb, good to get an update on how the house is coming along.
