:th I don't know how you do it IM. You live in a crockpot.

just got back from the bakery--hubby was craving bagels!! Good morning all. making tye dyed shirts and socks with granddaughter today

Bagels are always a good answer to what's for breakfast! Have fun with your g-daughter, tie dying sounds like a lot of fun...maybe you could share a picture of the handiwork later?

You too Bob. I need to mesh in my whole run, snake has killed 2 hens and ate all the eggs.

Cap, sorry about the losses. Do you know what sort of snake got in (I'm just curious is all)?

DH got a 3' long rattlesnake right outside the golf course maintenance door last week. It's been a slow summer for snakes here, usually we've seen several by now.

It sounds like life is an adventure up there! Did you cook the snake? It tastes like chicken! (or so I am told....)

We have lots of big king snakes around. I did not see who the culprit was or it wouldn't have happened twice.

Nope, no snake cooking here although I've tasted it in the past.

One year when my boys were young, we went to an annual rattlesnake hunt in Oklahoma. All the rattlers that don't make the grade for various categories were skinned and fried and sold for lunch. The actual taste wasn't bad, but the reek of all that frying hung a heavy stench over everything that about made me sick.

We only went that one time. Peta got wind of the event and pretty much shut it down. Plus my oldest son felt horrible for the snakes (he's a herpetologist now).

It sounds like a fond but somewhat sickening memory! I wonder if going to the hunt pushed your Son's future job interest
