Are the tomatoes good for canning or do you just eat raw? Volunteers are usually the best! We had a little 2 foot square spot that my mom planted tomatoes in one year. That's all it took, we had a volunteer or two every year after that, probably ten years it went as such until we moved away.

both, the reds i usually use for canning, the peach and pineapples are salad tomatoes, or sandwich, had a first this year, had a cucumber come up volunteers, one of the mexican Gershwin's or whatever they call them, now thats unusual

I can't believe it's August already. It's our daughters birthday on the 10th and it just hadn't occurred to me that it was that close until my Mum asked what was happening.

Everything thinks its spring here too. I've got 2 little peach trees I grew from seed and they are both sprouting leaves already. We were also glad the farmer moved his bulls from where they were right next to our place. They were bellowing at all hours.

we didn't get any fruits this year, they came out and the temps fell and froze everything, we are getting berries tho, black, blue and raspberries

Hey, did you get all your house painting jobs done?

Good morning. No painting, it has been really hot, 115, 116, 117 all week. I've been taking care of the animals and my plants instead. It's kinda warm inside too, best we can do is about 80, so not great painting weather.
