There is a YouTube channel I follow. The guy is in TX and grows a LOT of San Marzanos for canning. I'm guessing they are very good or he wouldn't still be doing it.

Also check the various stores with the GoodRx coupon. For DD1's med Kroger (closest one is about 400 miles) was the cheapest, Hannaford was second. Walgreens/RiteAid want your first born by comparison, basically 50% more than Hannaford.

The only problem with that is the hornworms can decimate a tomato plant before the wasp larvae kill the hornworm. A picked hornworm (fed to chickens if you have them) won't do as much plant damage. Either way that wasp killed or chicken killed hornworm won't become a moth to continue the carnage the following year.

i've had no luck with the black light flashlight, guess my eyes just can't see them with it, i can see the worm in the morning light or even daylight but no luck with the blacklight, husband can't see the worms period unless i point them out for him OR they have the wasp eggs on them, showed him one and now he looks for those
i had some of the san marzanos last year, they tasted really good but when r2elk recommened the super sauce i decided to try them, less peeling and cutting for my hands

our chickens that husband lets run loose, they're young yet and haven't learned to eat the worms andi know the worms can decimate a tomato plant, thats why i put them on one of the tomato that came up volunteer(peach) its a little away from my good tomatoes and i want to give the wasp a good start here, the worms without eggs get crushed after the chickens turn them down

did i mention that i found two cucumbers in the garden this morning that apparently the chickens thought were tasty, also strawberries
chickens are tasty too, will have to have a talk with them and tell them that

I had that talk with my rooster this morning. Not because he ate cukes and strawberries but he wouldn't stop crowing and it was annoying.
