The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I almost waited to long for my knee replacement...the bone had become quite soft & cystic. They had to put in an extra long shaft for it to hold. I was only 52 & went back & forth as to whether I should have the surgery at such a young age. I blew out my ACL when I was 15...finally had that replaced 20 years later, so a lot of damage. I would have been permanently crippled if I'd waited any longer. The moral of the story is don't wait to long!
Thanks for the tip on knee replacement!

My Mom refuse to have one when she was 70-- said they were only good for 10 years so wanted to wait. She is now 80 and will not have a knee replaced due to being too old

You're welcome!

She's not too old! Quality of life is what's important! They last longer now than they used too! She should get it done!

Good morning everyone! I hope you all have a beautiful day!

Dale is playing in a golf tournament today & I didn't want to stay home, so I'm hanging out at a nearby park reading a book. This is my view!

Good afternoon Rene :frow that's a beautiful view 😍

I will likely be doing a similar thing next Monday. The DW will be riding around a lake while I read a book. My knee can't take that kind of activity currently. It is a bit better though

That is a very nice view!
Good afternoon Ron :frow have a great Wednesday

I will ask her about that. She had spinal stenosis surgery a couple of years ago but was still hesitant on the knee replacement

I hope she will consider it, as it will change her life! I don't care how old a person is, there is no reason to just live with the pain and lack of mobility, if something can be done!

Hello everyone, I'm back :frow

It was a good trip, we got some work done and supplies picked up for more work. And we even got a tree company hired to take out the dead 35' tree in the backyard. Now if we would only get a phone call back from the fence company (it's been 3 weeks since they told us they'd give us an estimate).

Looks like Sour is safe, Rene has pretty eggs & a beautiful lake, Sue is headache free (yay!), IM is glad it's Wednesday, Cap is fighting skeeters & working on goat fencing, Ron may have knee surgery in his future, and Bob's garden needs work. Does that pretty much catch me up?

Oops, almost missed DMC...she's not as cleaning crazed as she used to be :gig

Welcome home, Debby. :celebrate

Thank you Sir Sour!

As much as I'm looking forward to living in that 2yr long year project, it was good to get back to our little company house where I have 3 cats and 5 chickens that were all thrilled to see me. They sure know how to make a person feel cared for 😻
