The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

That's warm for that time of day. I hope you get some rain with those thunderstorms, don't need any new fires!

I just realized that you live about an hour from my mom & sister. They live in Lotus!
I had to look Lotus Caifornia up. I do not go on 49 between Placerville and auburn. Maybe once? I think I have been to Coloma though. Do they have chickens?

I straightened up the shade screen at the end of the coop and added a new one over the top of the coop. I also moved their water fountain to a better spot for them. I also added time to the misting system. It will run from 2 to 7pm today. It will be close to 100F then so they should be fine.

I need to add a pan of ice for them in the afternoon though.

Currently I am listening to the dry lightening. They are the fire starters here!

Stay safe Ron!

They had some when they lived in a different town, but they don't now. They might be moving up to WA...so they can be closer to us!

Along with everyone else...stay safe!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Cap, I hope you don't get as much rain as predicted.

DMC, I'm so glad Hattie is OK.

Sue I hope they get that leg swelling sorted out for you.

We have thick mist here and it's 38 outside. So I'm glad we kept our chicken that needed a spa day inside overnight. Because I used the hair dryer on her (and I don't use it - I only bought it for chicken emergencies) DS, who is 9, decided he should blow dry his hair after his bath. 🤣
Thanks Jae!
so glad the son had her, at least it turned out good even if the nerve were on edge
Agree!

Good morning folks :frow

Cynthia, I really hope that bug runs its course quickly for you. Last time I had coughing fits like you describe, I cracked a rib. Just hoping you get well quickly.:hugs

I spent years living in the metric system, never had an issue except for temps. I bought indoor and outdoor thermometers that measured Fahrenheit because back then, the internet didn't exist and the calculations were just way too hard for an uncaffeinated brain.

:frow Good morning Debby, have a great day

:frow Good morning Sharron, have a great day. We're a bit warmer than you but I do love the cool mornings.
I cracked a bunch of ribs sneezing down in FL.
