The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

My oldest sons birthday is the 12th, he'll be 35, my youngest will be 30 on the 3rd and my son in law will be 31 on the 7th! September is a good month! 💞
Our Son is the 8th, he'll be 39... Sue decided she wasn't going to give birth until I was home so she carried him a full 10 months.
I was lucky when it came time for my son to be born, I got the last free bed in the maternity ward. Everyone that came in later was out in the hallway.
My experience was FAR more complicated, confusing, and frustrating for the first one. I hadn't slept in days... The second was great, met the doc for coffee, the anesthesiologist wheeled her off and 45 minutes later I was giving my daughter a bath. Let's just say it's never good for two families with the same names in labor & delivery at the same time. Messes with insurance too. It took me a year to convince the insurance that my son was a boy. yea, the other couple had a girl.

I'm sorry Sharron :hugs All days, but especially special days like birthdays and holidays are hard when we don't have the people we love around.
I've got great bones to work with in our current kitchen. Once I actually retire, I'll start working on the design. But it will be a LOT more functional.

Oh wow, that's crazy! Sounds like insurance hasn't changed much in 39 years...lol!

yes, i have one brother left, were you a twin or just same day different year? momma was a fraternal twin
I'm glad you still have your brother! 💞

I was his 2 year birthday present...best present he ever got...if I do say so myself....😉 People always thought we were twins, even when they didn't know what our birthdays were! I was his mini me, but in girl form! I miss them both tremendously!

From the sibling point of view I've never really had one. My twin died shortly after birth and I became an only child.

Not going to get into details, but will let imaginations do the work for me... New on-shift nurse, didn't know who was who. The family with same name walked into the hospital and the lady explained this is # 8 and it's coming now. Sue was in x-ray trying to figure out why she wasn't delivering after 27 hours... Nurse walks up to me asks if I'm Mr. xxxx. I said yes. Time to prevent an early breach birth... Wrong Wife! Of course my grandmother and the right husband show up at the same time, grandma wants to know why I'm doing what I'm doing, right husband says I'm doing fine. Nurse and Grandma insisted we switch. Very uncomfortable.... Let's just say I was scrubbing that hand for days. They had a girl, we had a boy, insurance denied the circumcision because "we" had a girl. It took months to sort it out. An experience I never ever want to go through again.
I have a lot of counter space...makes it nice for holidays and canning!
Have you seen the kitchen I designed and built in VA?
