I didn't realize that CA had fire ants. Eventually they will probably be all over.

Killer bees are down in the south part too.

They have stopped moving North for now but Global warming will likely move them closer to us

It is 6 or 700 miles to where the fire ants are from here. California is a very long state!

UP in the mountains where my Mom lives there are some big red ants but not fire ants. They will bit you though

Florida has lots of fire ants.

They are more aggressive than domestic honey bees. There was an attack a couple of weeks ago in San Diego

Florida has lots of fire ants.

My FIL had some at his place in Missouri and I have heard of them in Texas

Florida has lots of fire ants.

We definitely had them in north FL. The best thing we could find that worked was boiling water with Dawn detergent mixed in (that made them move away from the house and chicken coop) or a product called Amdro (I think) that DH used to get at the hardware store.

East Texas had fire ants. They're here in Colorado too.
And any insect with wings and a stinger is bad enough. But when you add killer or murder to the mix... no thanks, I'll pass!
