I'd gladly send you a stiff breeze to blow the smoke away. It's very windy here at the moment. If only I could bottle it.

Had to share a cute photo of the cat. Our stove has a wood box underneath but the cat has found a better use for it.

I had to change my sprint cell phone plan today since our cable internet is having issues. I need to be connected for work!

I do not have much confidence that they will fix the problem

My poor chickens (and myself) would love a little fresh air! poor things!

The air quality goes to orange in the evening but is back to purple for the afternoon.

It burns my eyes and makes me choke too

Come out here featherhead. Nice fresh air out here. As soon as I stay inside for awhile. Had nothing to eat but a can of pork and beans. But that effect may hopefully be worn off before you get here.

I made beef soup yesterday and will have some for dinner with the bread I baked today

I woke up this morning to an internally pipped chick. I thought it would be tomorrow before it pipped externally but it's an overachiever and it has already made an external pip and it's still half an hour off being day 19! I hope it takes its time, or its friends decide to get a move on and get pipping because none of the others were at that stage when I checked this morning. Quite a few were creating a shadow at the high side of the air cell though so hopefully they'll get their A's into G and catch up.


I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight.

How funny. I'm hoping it won't be alone for too long - DH might not appreciate a chick chirping all night for some friends.
