Hi Sue, you also.
Sorry about the early start to your day, hope it's not too long.

Morning Sue, hope your day goes well!
At least I start out with the one cleaning job I kept. By noon I should be able to handle the kids

Have you found a nest? Where there are two there are usually many more. Glad you got the one.

Time to replace the windows with the kind that tilt in for cleaning.

30+ years ago I went to France for 2 weeks of work then took the train to Zurich where my Dad and stepmother met me. They were vacationing for a month. Saw lots of cool things, have a "Bim Bam" clock from Munich. We were going to stop at Dachau on our way north but when we got to the turn off the major road we all decided we didn't think we could handle it.

More importantly, what kind of cheese was on it? Surely not the orange cheddar she was probably used to.

I had to look that one up. Interesting that it was not a good experience since this is the description I found:
"Durian lovers say it has a sweet, custardy taste, with the texture of creamy cheesecake. Flavors often attributed to the durian fruits are caramel and vanilla."
That sounds TASTY!

Somehow I don't connect oysters with fast food. I don't recall ever seeing them on any fast food menu, usually only in "higher end" restaurants.
Deep fried oysters Bruce, available in many seafood shacks

Yum. I would really like the recipe for apple cake.
This is a good one!

submitted by reader Diane Nemitz of Ludington, MI

Ingredients

Cake:
1/4 cup cinnamon-sugar mixture
4 apples, chopped small
3 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
11/4 teaspoon baking Powder

½ tsp salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Glaze:
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a Bundt or tube pan and coat with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Mix apples, eggs and oil with an electric mixer. Add flour, sugar, baking soda and cinnamon; mix well. Pour into pan and bake about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow cake to rest in pan for at least 10 minutes; invert onto a cake plate.
To prepare glaze, combine butter, brown sugar and milk in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Spoon over cake. Allow to cool before serving.

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or scoop of vanilla ice cream. Nut lovers can add 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the cake batter.
