Hi Jae
How adorable is thatthey just love to be messy and just don't get in the way
. How's your weather been? How are your animals doing? I can't remember what you have though
.
Ours can't make up it's mindwarm turning the day and then freeze overnight. I'm hoping for no cold or anything else!
It's humid here. Today is cloudy but warm. Its unusual that it's this warm this early (though it was the year I was pregnant with my son, 10 years ago now - all 3rd trimester it was stinking hot and humid). Often it's cooler right up until Christmas with January and February being our hot months. Hopefully your weather will be kind to you.
We have 7 heifers. I want to get 3 artificially inseminated soon and I think I've finally settled on which breeds to cross them with. So that's exciting, and in less than 2 weeks our 3 ewe lambs will be weaned and ready to pick up.
Then there are the chickens, ducks, quail, cockatiels, cats and dog. Our dog did earn her keep helping us get 3 wayward heifers back in their paddock the other day. They are the 3 wilder ones who gave us the slip and thankfully Honey (who really didn't have a clue what she was doing) was too thick to realise when one was trying to headbutt her, otherwise she would have run and hid. She was pretty good at running where we wanted her to. We were all pretty knackered after chasing them around though.
How sweet!
He is going to be bigger than his foster mom soon
I have been telling him he'll be the one keeping his mother warm soon. Hopefully he'll be alright as last time by about 5 weeks she was ready to leave her chicks to their own devices. It'll be interesting to see how long she wants to take care of him.
