no debby, it was a relief that she was where she wanted to be, ever since i was little she always told me i would take care of her in her old age, wouldn't i? and i always said yes, of course, i loved my sissy. of course i miss her but i believe shes with momma and daddy and her husband, jimmie and shes happy

They are so adorable and I love their names.

Sorry for the delay in reporting but Cracker popped out to greet the world at 7pm last night and I started feeding him at 6am this morning as he was yelling his head off. I don't think he read the instructions that said he shouldn't be fed for 12 hours after hatch.

He's demanding food about every hour and is already eating like a horse. He most definitely has a strong will to survive.

So here's my helpless little ugly bug:

I have a very squeaky cockatiel egg. I was worried by how much it was squeaking but apparently that's a very good sign that it is absorbing all that it should. If it hatches it will be called Cracker because it's the egg that developed a big crack. The perfect egg gave up on me. I was worried it was going to hatch earlier today and make me get up early to start feeding it, but it looks like I'll get another nights sleep (though I've been very restless the last few nights so I'm feeling rather tired).

We got one of our heifers artificially inseminated today. The guy who was supposed to do it couldn't but he sent another nice young guy to do the job. It was our easiest heifer, Maisy, who will do anything for food (including bowling every other bovine out of the way to get there first) so fingers crossed something sticks.

I hope your remaining egg/eggs hatch, I can't remember how many you had! I would love to have a cockatiel...I had parakeets and loved them!

How soon will you know if your cow is pregnant?

My braces come off today
We have an employee meeting tonight. 3 board members are coming tonight for us to talk to. One of our employees sent the board members a video of why we deserve a raise(it was quite something)It will be interesting to see what happens.

I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later...someone we know has passed away from the virus. DH & I had some business dealings with her when we had our tea and spice shop in Key West. So sad.
