The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I hope so:lol:It will be nice to get my vanity and all the other stuff out of the spare bedroom...and the linen cabinet out of my entryway.

Miracles do happen:lol:

We started on the basement bathroom the end of October. We started on the main bath the week of Thanksgiving. We just had a couple carpenters add on a small mudroom. That took less then 2 days but we have to finish the walls and flooring. I don’t know how anyone survives building a new house. I’d go completely bonkers!

:love
Good morning DMC! Building new is much easier than remodeling...it's a lot of work & took us 3 years to build our house, but I'd rather build new any day!
Have a great day!

A good Christmas Eve morning to everyone. Hope that your days will not be too hectic.

It was a fun time, and it sure did go quickly. Thankfully the memories remain, but much is missed. This is the first time ever that the entire family will not be together during the holidays.
It really did go to quickly, but yes, the memories are priceless. I'm sorry Sour, it's hard to be separated. This is the second time that we haven't had the whole family together and I'm having a bit of a hard time with it, but I'm thankful that everyone is healthy. We are going to Skype with our daughter & sil, so at least we can kind of be together! You & the princess have a nice Christmas eve! :)

Hi Sharron!

It is! The butter sauce is what makes it delicious.
Apparently I thought I’d remember this as I never wrote clear instructions. I think it’s an 8 x 8 pan. I know it’s not a 9x13. The sauce does thicken after it cools and you reheat it. I like it better that way. I use the evaporated milk. I’ve never tried the half and half. I’m pretty sure I cooked it without the double boiler and just watched it. I probably simmered it for 5 minutes after it came to a boil. It’s been several years since I made it.

This looks delicious. I make a chocolate cake & use a similar vanilla sauce! It's a recipe from my husband's family...the best chocolate cake I've ever had. Thank you for the recipe! :)

Hubby, son and I have all eaten one. The men groaned🤣 Good stuff! The cranberries are tart. It’s a good thing it has that buttery yumminess to balance it out:lol:Everyone is welcome to come have some. It’s -23 with the windchill right now. Hard to believe it was 57* 2 days ago. Dress warm!

Hahaha that made me think of the kids running back and forth in the snow in A Christmas Story! Hurry! It’s cold as :rantoutside!

DMC, I'm dressed for the weather and ready to come on up!
