For those who are confused and thinking: "Didn't we just wish them Happy Anniversary in February?" You did. We celebrate twice every year... The real one Feb 8 and the fancy one May 24.

We eloped in Feb, got married in a common room at DePauw University with close friends and a six foot sub for a wedding cake. We got back from our honeymoon and the hospital sent the receipt for the blood test to Mom. Before we could tell her we were married, she started laying out all these grand plans she had for our wedding. So we kept our mouths shut and just went with it. So we did the big fancy wedding in May. You'd be amazed at the number of folks who frowned on people living together who weren't married back then.

Morning Bob, I enjoyed the story of your 2 anniversaries! A good marriage is worth celebrating more than once a year :)

We are supposed to have rain nearly every day this week, so far not one drop. Did get a 90F day and hope that doesn't happen again. Air conditioner guy, sez ours is in bad shape and it would be $ 4500 for a new one. Any day now. Sole income is social security, and that amount based on me grooming dogs for $ 10. each from the time I was 16 till I gave it up when pregnant with my son at age 37. Didn't want him exposed to flea dips etc. before he was born. Plus doctor didn't want me lifting anything. (had two miscarriages) before then.
