The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Barred Holland
Best of luck with the hatch! When is hatch day?
Hubby is going to get his pickup detailed this morning. Son #1 bought it for him as a gift 2 Christmas’s ago. I have to give him a ride as I guess it takes awhile. I need groceries also.
I’m waiting to hear from my friend I’m doing the cookies for this weekend. Her DIL was air lifted out last night. She has Myeloid Sarcoma which is now showing up as Acute Myeloid Leukemia and is not doing very well. A month ago they told her she was going to die if she didn’t start taking an aggressive form of Chemo. She refused and they set her up with hospice. Basically a miracle happened and things started going the right direction. Right now she has an infection somewhere and hopefully they can figure it out.
What are you up to today?
I'm sorry to hear about your friend's DIL. I hope everything goes well.
Good Morning all . Have a great day I have to tend to some things today. I have a huge snapping turtle in my pond with the animals it must have been in hibernation when I put the fence up and decided to kill one of my mallards When she went for a swim yesterday. I drove my wife to the store and when we returned . She was sitting on eggs . Her companion keeps going too the nest looking for her . It was a typical snapper kill she was grabbed by one foot and it ate up into her internal organs to get the liver and such . She was floating . :barnieEnough said on my part now I am on the war path.
So sorry to hear about your duck :(

Hi Meg, terrific picture! Fiona's baby is lovely, and looking so big.

Has your snow stopped yet? Hope you're enjoying some nicer May weather!
It did stop! We had 85° the Sunday before last and a low of 24° last Thursday. It really put a damper on my fruit trees, but it appears not all is lost. We're getting some rain now and headed for 80°s again in the coming week. I can't wait.

How about you? Time for planting yet??

Hi Meg, glad your snow stopped and hope your fruit trees will be ok. Maybe you'll still get some fruit from them :fl

I had to re-plant some tomatoes and a bell pepper plant due to low overnight lows but the new ones seem to be doing ok (so far)!
