Or maybe a mod could PM them and mention that one shouldn't post on anything that is older than a day or 3. New people often don't think when they post on an old thread, the OP not having been seen for several years.
We had one that managed to survive the winter (or came up from a seed?) until the crocus all died back and we removed the fence that kept the rabbits out of the crocus. Pansy disappeared overnight.
Beautiful (though the rest of the post was much less lovely!) That would make a great jigsaw puzzle.
