The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi Ron nice to see your doing good , those fires don't seem to be ending . Is that what they are calling the Dixie fire in your area ?
The Dixie fire is fairly close. Luckily the wind mostly moves the smoke away from us.

We hanging on and going from one doctor appointment to the next. Finally got the MRI on my shoulder and I have tear in my rotator cuff, so another surgery for me 😞.

Our daughter and her kids paid us a surprise visit over the weekend 💞. It wasn't long enough, but we will take whatever we get. They don't like our bugs and stuff, so it's hard to get them here. They are beach people.
I hope your surgery and your recovery go well!
Not really sure. One is American chinchilla and the other is like a calico
They sound pretty. Pictures please!

I hope that fire is contained soon. It is very scary reading about it, I can't imagine being in the area. Do you have a plan in case the need to evacuate should arise?

DMC, I'm not a winter person, but I'm so over this heat 🥵 If I don't get out before 9 to feed and water then it takes me twice as long to get done.
I’m the same way Sue. I hate winter but I love fall.
Good morning Debby.. I didn't even realize. If I had, I probably wouldn't have gone to the grocery!😱

Good morning, DMC,
It wasn't as busy as I had expected, but I'm glad I'm finished. We have the worst storms here, when we have them. I miss that ozone smell from my childhood. Do any of you remember that, or are you still able to smell it?

Wait! I sent Debby rain, she's going to get flooded now!
Good morning/afternoon Mark, Sue, Bob, Marie, Ross, Ron, and Sour!
I hope you all enjoy the rest of this day!
Is it from lightning or what?

We are down in the valley from the fire and on the other side of the Sacramento River.

My Mom has a house on the other side of Mt. Lassen from the fire though.

She mostly stays in Redding during fire season.

The storms are just loud, lots of lightening, occasional hail, and the rains are torrential. It washes away anything not anchored down.
