Yesterday evening I found out what's been eating my orange Cosmos (not the pink ones, just the orange) and the Dianthus...there were 2 deer in my backyard! Apparently they don't enjoy the orange Cosmos, Petunias, Zinnias, Marigolds or Batchelor's Buttons. Guess those are the flowers I'll plant next year and let the deer eat someone else's flowers.

Did you catch them in the yard?
They don't like orange or pink cosmos?
Very interesting... wonder if there's a taste difference 🤔

I found them when I stepped out on the back porch last evening. Wish I'd had my camera, there was a male & female inside our fence. Weird about the Cosmos...only the orange ones have been eaten, the pink ones growing right next to the orange are fine.

Who knew deer had such a picky palette? :lol:

:gigI wouldn't have thought they were. Assuming it was dark, they can see the difference.
