The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

A few weeks ago I was telling you all about the big sunflower that grew up from the bird seed. I kept close watch over it, dried it until it was just right and decided today was the day to treat my girls.

They totally freaked out when I took that big sunflower head into their run! They were flying into each other and against the walls of the run and squawking like no one's business. I had to take it out before someone got hurt.

Guess the wild birds will appreciate it.

For me it was Bass, Walleye, Northern, Perch, Catfish, Smelt, & Crappie. Sometimes blue gill, but not too often as he thought they were too little meat and too much work to get it.

Is a Northern the same as a Pike? Dad used to catch what he called Pike when we'd vacation in Minnesota (I think that's where he caught them).

Yup. We spent some time in Ely MN fishing snow bank lake and then portaging into the boundary waters. Good memories. Most of the rest of the time we'd go to the upper peninsula of Michigan.
