Good morning everybirdy! Freaking cold here today in WInnipeg, Manitoba. We have an extreme windchill warning right now. Feels like -50*C (-58*F). I think I'm staying indoors today!

Good morning, all!! Was off for a day and a half and already there were too many pages to go through to get to this point, so if you’ve asked me a question or anything, ask again….I missed it!

At least one member of the family is grateful for the snow we got….Feefer can’t wait to get outside and rub the side of her sore face in it. She’s making me crazy….that abscess was cleaned out and she’s on antibiotics but it just keeps draining, New house, new carpets and room sized rugs and now this……. <sigh>

Staying warm shouldn't be a problem today. Yesterday was in the teen's and today we're going to be in the 40's.

We’re supposed to hit 30 tomorrow. That’s a 50* plus difference from this morning.

Of course, now that we don't have snow falling, the wind is back. I guess we get 2 options here, either too much wind or too much snow.

Seemed like a good day here to sit under the huge queen sized quilt I’ve been working on for longer than I care to admit and get some more hand quilting done on it. Our contractor had other ideas…..haven't seen him since Dec. 23, and he decides that now would be a good time to investigate why we have so little heat in our bedroom and bathroom compared to the rest of the house. He’s also going to do some more work on the trim, work on the pan drawers (which don’t close just right), and put the right weatherstripping in the outside doors. If it warms up to 30 like he thinks it will, he’s also going to do some work on the porch. I keep a list and every time we find a little issue I write it down. The list is getting longer, but we expected that for a time. The big stuff has been done and done well.

My son didn’t go sledding one of the days he was in Wyoming, he said it was to windy Apparently last year he went out on a bad day and it wasn’t enjoyable. I think I’d rather have too much snow…careful what I wish for
