We are so, so bi-polar! We keep those HVAC techs busy.
Heat is nice but the air-conditioning unit is the most important part of our home.

She hates it. She hates the 50 minute drive in late afternoon to work and especially coming home in the morning after a 12 hour overnight shift. And it’s a state run facility instead of a nicer one like where she was - quite a difference in how it’s operated. She’d like to take a break from health care altogether but jobs are so scarce around here. Well, she’s the one who list her temper and quit - she’s got to take the consequences.

Ugh, my daughter is a 911 dispatcher working 12 hour shifts with a 60 mile one way drive. I feel for Tam!

When I worked at the factory, it was an hour drive east at sun up and an hour drive west at sundown every day. With 12 hour shifts. I was so glad to move to my new job.

When my brother and sis-in-law lived back east, my brother had to travel 90 minutes each way to go to work (and that's when the traffic was moving). They didn't live there any longer than they had to.

When I lived in the DC area, I could get to work in 9 minutes if I timed it right or 2 1/2 hours if not.

Crazy! That would be a huge motivator to get out of the house on time!
