The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Every day my LO is up to something. It's one of my favorite things about his growing mind
Today, "Water Demons"
This just made me laugh though (not at the scared student) had to share.

Janie, I learned how to drive a motorcycle when I was 12 years old. I didn't even drive a car yet. It was a Honda 300 dream. My older brother had a 1965. Honda Super hawk we went all over the state of Pennsylvania that Summer. Now when I turned 21 I got married and bought a new Harley Davidson Super Glide. I taught Susie to drive it and she did darn good. In fact, we went to a big shindig, and I was standing around having a beverage and a guy came running up to me and said hey Mark some chick just stole your Harly. There she goes out the drive. I went running through the crowd and sure as heck there went my wife with my bike. At that time there wasn't many girls that drove Harly's but she cold drive good all 120 lbs. of her :lau I must admit I was quite relieved when she came back. :yesss:
I was pretty anxious when Jacob got his first bike.
It was a Honda 350(?) I believe. My husband taught him to drive on a big Harley Ultra glide and then sent him off to a bike training course...60 miles away, on his bike!
He also let him drive from our home in Texas to Eastern Tennessee alone at 17 years old. I was nervous then too, but they talked me into it.
Jake has been fairly mature since his teens. I guess I shouldn't worry too much. Although he did do some damage to his collarbone in a bike accident when he was in high school. The accident wasn't his fault, which made it worse.
