What did you name your chicks ?

This makes me sad, my EEs are some of my friendliest chickens. My favorite, Torchic, came from Hoovers. She loved to snuggle as a baby and still demands lap time almost daily. If I don't sit down fast enough, she rubs her beak on me until I do

Mine have not been mean or agressive, just more standoffish. They hang by themselves and definitely are not cuddly! Will keep trying, though! Oddly enough, the two leghorns we got last year are the friendly cuddlers lol. Completely NOT the expectation!

I've had a few chicks that were people oriented but it has been the exception rather than the rule. I am not a house brooder person, they have an outdoor grow out coop. I don't intentionally handle them to encourage that type of behavior. These are just like this. I am not sure if it's something different at the hatchery (their daughter is more involved now, I think?) or if it's individual personalities. This batch is notably different, though.

I had three easter eggers, now two. The one I lost due to an impacted crop was the one sweet one. She would run up to me wanting pets. The two left are standoffish.
