The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Salem's Lot was a real classic! I loved the book so much more, than the movie. I barely remember Children of the Corn. The Birds is my all time favorite thriller, though it isn't as scary as it once was.
None of thes scared me as bad, as the disaster movies, that my mother used to watch. I was traumatized by The Poseidan Adventure. I won't even go near a cruise ship. (Besides, I've heard they have rats!)🤣
I never saw The Birds or The Poseidon Adventure. I hated the Titanic.

He has a little cold, so he isn't sleeping very good. Plus he had a big day today.. er, yesterday. His sister Layla came over from Denver to meet him. :loveView attachment 3057192
Oh, how incredibly sweet! And she’s beautiful!!
Good morning. :frow

I didn't attend because I was helping at a basset field trial at the beagle club. In spite of the warnings two attendees managed to get stuck and had to be towed out. :barnie
Team won both games 15/13 and 15/11. Grandson had a very good game with multiple hits/RBI , a triple play, and part of several double plays. The coach put him in to pitch to close out the first game. Princess says folks were like, 'What?'. He plays shortstop so well I predicted he would never get to pitch. He's a good pitcher, but he's an exceptional shortstop.
What a day for adventure…some good, some not so good!
I started watching “It” last night. I hate clowns so not sure why  . It was the original.
I’m reading a Lisa Gardner book, One Step Too Far.
I wish somebody would explain to me, in a way that actually makes sense, where this ”clown hatred and fear” came from! Seems like overnight everyone just picked up on it and it stuck. People, especially kids, used to adore clowns. For decades every Shrine Temple has had their own clown unit that marched in parades, visited kids in hospitals, took part in benefits to raise money for the Shrine Hospitals, and were active in the Shrine circuses. It’s sure has made it hard on them lately.

I have never liked clowns. My sister doesn’t like them either. I don’t know what to tell you Blooie.

I was never afraid of clowns, but my grandmother made me a Raggedy Ann doll that gave me nightmares 😱

I agree! Where did it come from? I wonder if the last few generations have been conditioned to be fearful of clowns? When I was a kid, we loved them!
Bless those Shriners!

Steven King's? It?
Nightmare inducing!
