Good rainy morning all

I figured I had 1 skunk but there’s at least 3.

And they are all adults! Sadly I think there will be a lot of little ones soon enough if you don't get rid of them.

Probably the best skunk repellent is a light. Skunks are nocturnal and their eyes are very light sensitive. A bright light or a motion sensor flood light will scare skunks away.

Which explains why we were watching 5 juvenile skunks out all day for many days 2 years ago??

Predator urine (dogs, coyotes) can be used to repel a skunk. These are commercially sold in garden centers.

I tried that at my previous house. Bought the fox urine, the bottles, hung them low on the fence. Skunks didn't care.

I sent 3 packs of 18 with DD1 and her BF last night. Still had nearly 2 dozen, not counting the 15 I collected yesterday and the remaining 14 I found in the hay bale nest a few days ago.

We were told soooooo many times we are going to have snow and again recently. The latest on our weather has switched from freezing and possibly snow to a heatwave. I just give up

I know what you mean about it being sort of nice to not have the chicken chores for a while.

I really don't find them much work at all. Feed in the morning, feed in the evening, collect eggs. I will have the "clean out the coop" chore soon though but that is only twice a year.

I will fill them in the morning so they don’t get too soggy.
We have teacher appreciation day tomorrow.

You have to make your own appreciation food? Aren't the parents of the kids supposed to be appreciating the teachers? Especially the ones who have to deal with special needs kids that have "attitude"?

HP Envy x350, I Can't find any ports that look familiar. It doesn't seem to have a slot to fit my camera card. It does have one that's bigger and has SD beside it.

What type of camera card do you have that isn't an SD card Mark? Probably need a USB external reader.

That one has two usb-c ports. Those ports do everything! Video, storage and one of them is for charging the laptop too.

I had a humdinger dream last night. I was somewhere and an entity started messing with me but I didn't get scared. It started pulling pranks on me. I got a pen and paper and asked it to write down it's name for me, it replied that it couldn't so I asked it to show it's self to me and it did. To my surprise it was a little boy about 4 years old he had blond hair blue eyes and was a cute little fellow. I asked why he was pranking me and he said he was so lonely. He didn't know where he was. After that he went straight down into something with water in it so I asked him to show me. He pulled me down into a pond that had ice on it or well, or some water and there I saw a skeleton of a lad, about 6' away was a baseball. He said he was after his ball and fell in and couldn't get out. He said his parents had long since moved away and no one found him. At that point I woke feel awful sad for him. Sorry for the dream story but for some odd reason I felt compelled to tell it. I sure hope someone finds him.
