The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

You too? Death seems to be surrounding me lately. I'm the oldest sibling, I'm supposed to go first. I'm the younger spouse, I'm supposed to go first. I lost my Lisa..baby sister in 2020, my husband in 2021, and another sister this year in January. Who's anniversary was yours yesterday??
Five years ago yesterday my sister Linda let go of my hand for the first time in 64 years. I was totally shattered. Still am in many ways.

I know you’ve had the year from he11 too. My heart breaks for you. :hugs

My condolences, Cynthia. 💛

Bananas? Where do you live again? Humidity.. monsoon..?
Phoenix. Condensation from the HVAC drips out of a pipe into a bucket on my patio (don’t want the chickens drinking it) and when it’s very dry the bucket may never fill up. When it’s more humid I have to dump it every day or it will fill up. Early signs of humidity coupled with predictions for a good monsoon season are keeping me hopeful for rain. I want to plant a couple of three sisters gardens in July and I invested $$ in trees this year. Plus even though it gets humid with the monsoons, the temps aren’t usually quite as high as when the humidity is low.

I hope they do well for you and you get the rain you need. I had to look up 3 sisters gardens. :D

Ahh.. you're in a desert too. We're ways hopeful for rain too. Hope we all get some! Yes, trees take a lot of water. We planted two Forsythia bushes. I was thinking the rain we were getting was good enough. My daughter said I best water them anyway. Glad I looked. They needed deep watering.
