Hi Debby. We are ripping apart our deck. I am lifting the boards. He’s running the drill.Good morning Part 2 to everyone!
DH went to work for a while and I fell back asleep watching the Scottish Open. Now DH is back, attempting to put together a desk. The volume of his @#$@@! is getting a bit loud so I'm hanging out back in my office
@igorsMistress and @janiedoe hope your birds will be ok with the terrible heat you're getting. I know you're both doing what you can
@DigMyChicks hope your DH can just relax and take time to heal a bit before he gets to antsy.
@Grammy60 good to see you Sue, when do you come back?
@swampfox440 hi Mark, give Susie a hug
@sourland glad you had a great birthday!
Smart womanOver the years I've learned to stay out of the way unless he asks...apparently I'm TOO much help sometimes.![]()

We are taking a break. The wind picked up a little and it has clouded over so that will help.Don't either of you over-do DMC!
My husband loves for me to "help" mostly he just wants me to stand there and tell him what a good job he's doingOver the years I've learned to stay out of the way unless he asks...apparently I'm TOO much help sometimes.![]()
Sorry, but I think we are running out of time. It's a hard thing to learn! She may need a few more years to work on it Sour. (And to be perfectly honest, sometimes I forget)
No, we don’t start cooling of until at least September but sometimes October and November are still pretty toasty. We need the heat for the storms but dang it’s just so exhausting. You've given your crew a lot of shade too, which has to help. Wish I could send you some of this rain we're getting. Do you usually start to cool off a bit in August?
I think it’s a good theory Janie and agree with you. I was just talking to the kids about the rooster. He and a duckling grew up together inside because he was a stray hatchling and so I may end up with him and a couple of ducks instead of a couple of pullets. We’ll see.I think some of it probably depends on where they come from. I feel like my ideal poultry birds and my mixes do best, because they're hatch from birds that have already acclimated to our climate. Probably not so, but it works with plants.
Hi Sue! Good to see you, sounds like you’re enjoying the time with the grandkids.Hi Debby![]()
I'm not sure, helping Sarah with the grandkids, so she can keep working. We spend every morning at the pool because they all have swim practice. I'm having a great time and finally getting to know Christian, since we moved shortly after he was born.
It surprises me that it’s so warm that late where you are. With a place big enough for a pond I imagined you’d cool off at night pretty well. Here we have a heat island from all the cement and asphalt. I’m trying to grow a ton of shade in the backyard but unfortunately that’s not instant. You'll have to come out of hiding sometime. He'll probably be calling you to help, any time now.
Same. 90s overnight or in our case, until midnight aren't helping them deal with the heat. August is still to come. It really, really, makes me feel bad for outdoor animals.
Yes, it's long overdue and I do love that I'm hereNo, we don’t start cooling of until at least September but sometimes October and November are still pretty toasty. We need the heat for the storms but dang it’s just so exhausting.
