Good morning, Mad. Our grands are spread out from age 2 (& one on the way) to 24, So it doesn't have so much impact anymore. We enjoy them very much.

You don't fire a good worker to make room for someone "more qualified". Apparently she was doing a good job based on your opinion and that of others. I don't suppose the new person is related to the boss's boss.

Another person was hired, again without opening the position to anyone in the company, who is also doing part of the former bosses job. The newest addition is “the more qualified “ person who will be doing another part of the former bosses job. It took three people to replace her. Who was better qualified? The former boss.
