As with everything it depends on the individual involved. When we first moved here we had a great mailman - he retired eventually. His replacement was not particularly good and eventually disappeared. Our present mail lady is outstanding and goes out of her way to do the right thing.

My shipment from cackle of 6 went well. I had them shipped in March. I had a delivery from McMurray that did not go well but it was January and USPS left them in an un heated warehouse in San Francisco overnight-- half of them died out of 22ish chicks.

So time of year, packing and hoping that USPS ships well make a big difference.
