The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

*sighs* in some ways I’m soooo much better and in other ways I’m still really struggling. 😭😩

Give your meds a chance to really work Kelsey, the change in them just happened, right? Don't you have an appointment coming up? If you feel you can't wait to talk to your providers, then don't wait, call!

Yeah, I just started the new dose last night. But still hah but this particular thing isn’t related to this med. I sometimes have issues with wanting alcohol. It’s really random and I haven’t had cravings or anything in like over a year until the last week or so. Yesterday I caved and got some but it was gross and I dumped the rest. Today I was at a store next to a liquor store for something else and went home instead of going in. Which was really hard because it’s a holiday and a weekend and blah blah blah but I know I’m not supposed to on my meds so today I was stronger. Which is good. But now I’m down and idk why. Also, ironically, I’m also on a med that is used for alcohol cravings but mine is being used off label for something else not the alcohol. But certainly doesn’t hurt. Except clearly that isn’t working either and I’m on like double the max dose. So yeah. I need to talk to them.

I also didn’t fully understand tinnitus.
Neither do I and I've had it all my life. Hearing sounds that aren't there. I can usually ignore/not notice it .... until it jumps 2 octaves and the "volume" triples.

I think the new dose is working already. Idk if that’s even possible so fast but I feel way better and basically zero thoughts all day soooo…
Wonderful

I'm glad someone feels my pain, lol. I was taught being on time was the same as being late.
Me too. That leaves no time for anything that may delay you enroute. DD2 drives me nuts, ALWAYS leaving late for her lift attendant job. I figure if you aren't at your "station" at starting time, ready to work, you are late. Some people think pulling into the parking lot is "on time".

I don’t understand how I married someone who is a total opposite lol.
Haven't you heard? Opposites attract!

We had it. Looks like it will be back for more. It's so humid here now. We are at 91 right now. I suddenly remember why I said "no more chicks." Lol.
I was amazed that I see condensation dripping from the line coming from our a/c. I didn’t think there was much humidity. (We have beautiful weather right now. Shshshsh)

He does, but this is an invisible issue and I think it’s hard for him to understand how I went from fine to vertigo to constantly off balance literally as though someone flipped a switch. I’ve had minor balance issues and vertigo for quite some time, but I have had problems with my ears forever so I don’t talk about it or complain, it was just a part of my life. As long as I wasn’t in major pain and the doc didn’t see anything wrong with my ears at check ups I just figured I had to live with it and didn’t mention it. I also didn’t fully understand tinnitus. This incident put a new spin on things.
Ok..I'm not aware of all of what's up here, but you sound like me! Symptoms that is. Did I post The Steady Coach video? Have you had a diagnosis? I went years without one. Finally got this from the third ENT I went to. . Vestibular Migraines. I've been so off balance and on my hands and knees with the imbalance so strong I had to get down, or hug the walls. It got worse right towards the end of my husband's death. Stress, anxiety, worry makes it worse. Some say certain foods are their trigger..mine is stress..and now they're finding it usually is for people with this condition. I mentioned my ears bugging me to many an ENT, Insane ringing. Loss of hearing mostly in my left ear. Fullness feeling. Never did they agree with me that I might need a CT scan. I think I posted here that I finally got one and it shows something in the mid ear. MRI next week. In the meantime I've been on Amtriptyline. Something neurologists give to help with Vestibular Migraines, if that's what I have. It does actually help with anxiety. I have also been listening to this gal. Oh my goodness. She makes more sense than any specialist I've gone to. Between her and the medication I've been having better days. Driving again, gardening again. More things..again. :). I'm chronic, it's an everyday thing this woozy head, but not as bad. Will be interesting to see what the MRI shows. If there is something going on there, I'll have a decision on whether to have surgery or not. Will weigh the options. Here's the link to one of her videos.

Hi Sue, 15 to go!
Doesn't look like we got any damage from the storm ❤
I did have to throw out some chicken feed that got wet. Fortunately, I didn't fill the feeders yesterday.
Glad to hear there was no damage.
Or send the sheriff out for a wellness check!
I told the boss I was calling in sick Monday. The secretary said she would come out and haul my butt in  It was a rough day and we were all done in. So many staff out today.
Hi folks! I went to town paid my bills, came home opened my computer and the screern shattered. The whole corner broke out and there is a crack running halfway up the screen! therefore if you don't see me for a month or six, you know what happened.
How did that happen?
