Hi Janie! I need to vacuum all my floors and mop. Dust bunnies are everywhere. I never saw that when I had carpet. I’m not doing it today though.

Good morning, IM. I'm sitting on the back porch listening to the crowing roosters again. It is more pleasant this morning. I see the temperature will be higher today, but our humidity will go down a little, so that is nice.

Hi Janie. That’s good news! We’re just damn hot and it’s not going to change anytime soon. I only watch the weather to see if we might get a chance for storms. Otherwise it doesn’t change much lol.

Fortunately not. There are a few roads maybe 10 miles east that are/were (the dang website is showing data from yesterday or the day before) closed. I am far enough north and west and not close to a river that we have no problems. LOTS of people south and east, even some in the north east, that are severely impacted. It is more than REALLY UGLY in a lot of places. No river can move 5-7" of rain away as fast as it comes down and a lot of them are in narrow valleys so there is nowhere for the water to go but up, washing out bridges.

And erode the banks - no trains will go through here for a long time

There is a Vermont saying "You can't get there from here". Sadly that is very true for a lot of people right now. I heard there have been 150 swiftwater boat rescues and some people still can't get out of their houses.

Dust bunnies are everywhere. I never saw that when I had carpet.

Because they were lodged in the carpet, much easier to sweep up on a non carpeted floor.

A "challenge" for people that have some throw rugs. Vacuum it as best you can, then take it outside and beat it. You will be surprised how much dirt comes out. And now you know what is in your wall to wall carpet.

Yes. By do away with carpet, I fear we have destroyed the dust bunny habitats. I know they are not endangered, at least not here, because I see so many of them under the beds.

I'm trying not to pay so much attention to the weather reports. My husband says they should stop reporting the "feels like" temperatures. He says it's just hype and its making pu$$ies of us all.

I would have to agree with your DH on that! Feels like is relative anyway.
