The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning.
Good morning Sour, is it cooler for you today?
Yesterday was not a pleasant day, but I managed some 'outside' things. Today looks like it will be worse. It's already 84 F with excessive humidity. Another day in 'sauna land'. The AC kicked on early this morning. I'm hoping to make it through the season before replacing the unit.

Good morning Sour :frow I imagine a lot of people will have to replace their air conditioners by the time this summer is done.

It's 86* here with a feels-like temp of 96*. That's enough to keep me inside.

Good morning everyone 😊 another hot nasty day here, stay safe, cool and hydrated
We are up to 100F today. Yesterday wound up being 89F which was very nice!

Have you all heard of this?
I could do without red meat if needed, but cheese? Never.
NPR had a segment about it yesterday.

It has been around for a long time actually. NPR made it sound like it was a life time allergy to meat-- includes bacon--:( but an article I read years ago said that the allergy usually goes away after 5 years.

Of course you would need to keep away from lone star ticks!

I think one of the staff at the clubhouse has it or he suspects it cause he went hiking several years ago and then suddenly can’t eat red meat/anything from a mammal now. But idk if we have that type of tick here so idk. But he gets really sick so it’s definitely something. I’ll ask him today if he can eat dairy.
It had to be a place that has lone star ticks! Luckily they are not in California. We do have brown deer ticks that spread lyme disease though

It is seen in people who have had Lyme disease in the past as well. Particularly red meat as I recall.

That sounds awesome!

I’m going to the Clubhouse today and then idk what I’m doing after. I’ll be there till 4-4:30 ish. Unless my ride shows up early. A bunch of people from there are going to the Patriots training camp today but you had to be there by like 8 since it’s a 45 minute drive (probably more with traffic) and that is not my thing :lau mornings or sports LOL practice starts at 9:30 and only runs 2 hours so they wanted to be there on time I think. But the club is still open for everyone else so I’m going today.

I hope lunch is good. They hadn’t announced it yet yesterday. It’s usually always good though. And it’s only $2 so. I bought another lunch card recently where you get a few free lunches if you buy a whole card. It’s like a months worth of lunches basically. So they just write the date on the little boxes on the card. It’s not a real credit card :lau they don’t take those. But yeah. It’s like $42 for I think $50 worth of lunches. I always buy the card because I always eat there so it’s a good deal and I don’t have to have cash this way.

ANYWAY!

They might have a project for me to work on today. Yesterday I helped design the August calendar. I’ve designed all the summer ones now LOL it’s fun! I design them with a staff member.

Idk what else the day holds. But sorry for the massive novel! :lau
Have fun! I don’t care for sports, but I’m an early riser. 0330 and I’m ready to get the day started.

Hi Sue, say hi to Bob!

Try to stay cool and dry; my house is like a cave. All the drapes and shades are closed, no lights on, all the ceiling fans running.
