The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Getting them out and about definitely helps. Our dogs get daily walks but the park on the weekends is still a necessity.
For sure! I don’t really walk him that much tbh  but I’ve been trying to more which is helping and we go on the marsh too. And we do play ball and stuff but he needs walks and marsh and that stuff. I want to start going to the field again to play with the other dogs but it makes me nervous doing that lol

I can understand that nervousness. He’s a bully breed. Frank doesn’t start fights, but if he sees them he gets involved and puts a stop to them. He doesn’t like aggressive body language either, I have to lock him in our room to discipline the kids. Not that I beat them, but even hands on hips and a raised voice brings Frank to the rescue.

Brew LOVES other dogs so I’m more worried about the other dogs starting stuff but you are right that being a bully breed I am worried about that too and him being blamed if a fight happened. Plus I read they can change after a neuter so where he used to roll over when dogs would get snippy with him, idk what he’d do now.

His mother is the most honest person I know and he’s nothing like her.
Sometimes the nut falls close to the tree but rolls or is carried away ;)

Today will be a day without air conditioning!
Every day is a day without air conditioning!!

But the electrician came today to put in the wires for the 2 heat pumps the HVAC company is going to install. They will be connected to the 2 existing hot air furnaces, one oil, one propane. Should cut down a lot on my winter greenhouse gas emissions and cost. Should be quieter too since there won't be the noise of the burners until the depths of winter when the heat pumps aren't as efficient. I'll have to figure out what the "break point" temperature is through trial and error. If it does get hot enough next summer we will have A/C.

The three zone mini split I installed heats down to -14F. Efficiency goes down after 0F
