The fence guy showed up today and told DH he would be done by this afternoon. He's working by himself with 2 broken toes. What do you think, can he do it?

I think it will be nice when it’s done. Were the broken toes the holdup?

He got the horizontal pieces attached to the posts.

I think it will be nice when it’s done. We’re the broken toes the holdup?

I'm hoping it will be nice when it's all finished. The broken toes were one of several excuses. Others included the weather, wife sick, child care issues, behind on other jobs, an accident on the highway (he didn't have the accident, that's just what held up traffic) and I forget what else.
