The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I need to clarify, it's me that's dragging my feet about getting chickens again. DH has said he'll build me a coop/run anytime I give the word. I'm just not ready to pull the trigger yet.
There are so may pros and cons. I love mine but I probably wouldn't do it again. It's time consuming, limits my activities, and I'll probably never take another vacation. None of that bothers me much, but I do worry about what would happen to them if I were very ill. Or dead.

Yep, pros and cons. I've had to give up on flocks twice now and while I think we're here in KY for the long run, that has left me hesitant. Plus, I gave away all of my stuff like waterers, feeders, etc. so there's the initial expense to start up again.

I don't know, but I have all winter to think about it. :idunno

Mine have ZERO desire to be touched.

Actually, other than the weight, removing and replacing a toilet is quite easy. 1 water connection, 2 nuts. Replace the wax seal when you put it back in.

Oh, a shed like the one @DigMyChicks got?? ;)

Shhhh, don't tell Debby - the new shed is actually a surprise hen house.

Me either but then I don't go there.
She could fit a lot of stuff in it

I can understand that. If they weren’t so good at keeping weeds at bay I might take a break.
