DH used to have a Moka pot and he liked it. That's a little too hard core for me.

My DW insists that I make coffee with it as her favorite way to make it. It is like thin espresso and I use coffee beans that I roast myself-- not to espresso level.

Buying the beans un roasted and roasting them saves a lot of money compared to buying them as whole beans in the store.

Roasting the beans takes about 20 minutes once a week and I set it going with a timer and go watch tv during the roasting-- less time and effort than going to the store.

The Moka pot is:
fill the bottom with water
add the coffee grounds to the stem basket
screw the top on
Heat until the pot hisses

You do have to wash it of course. It is similar to using a peculator but the water is pushed through the grounds once under pressure

Good point! I limit myself to 2 a day at most sometimes just 1 a day. And I don’t have the hydration ones anymore so no ODing on vitamins lol
