We had wind early then rain started around noon. Supposed to rain until midnight then we get a cr@pload of snow through midnight Monday! Like a FOOT

Sadly DW has Covid again. Thankfully that means she doesn't have to drive the 35 miles to work in that snowstorm. DD2 not so much, her lift opened yesterday.
Oh wow that’s a lot of snow!!! And sorry to hear about the COVID!!

It's a chilly 41* here today, that's 2* warmer than they predicted. I'm getting curious to find out what a KY winter looks like.
I can tell you about one winter near Lexington, KY. We were a very young couple headed back to MI from FL and got caught in a dangerous storm. So bad we needed chains to drive. At some point we stopped on the pull off lane and while I was getting something out of the trunk. What I don't remember but I do remember when the car started sliding toward the edge of a cliff that dropped off several hundred feet. I got a dirty diaper from my wife and used it like a chock and that saved a horrible event for us. It was one of those 10 mph drives while on the interstate in the mountains that I'll never do again.

Hope your DW gets better quickly Bruce.

Glad it all turned out ok. Winter driving is always 'iffy'.

This storm is in stages for us I think. Over the last few minutes it has turned dark here and looks like a new storm is forming over the top of us not. Great napping weather. This old bag of bones and use one again today. I'm wishing everyone a safe day during this stormy time.
Likewise! You have a quiet and peaceful day.

I never slept but just after I got up it has turned very dark again. High winds making it unsafe to be around most of the coops. I saw my first leaf out just now. Leaves blocking a view they were so thick coming down out of an oak tree. Not long ago we had a limb come down on a family members pickup and do a lot of damage. The chickens are out to where they have feed and water and can get back into their coops at dark. By then I hope this mess is over with.
