It's going to be cold but they pushed the snow off into the future (to Friday). I'm glad I ran my errands this afternoon!

Makes me wonder at times whether this weather is being manipulated.

Good morning everyone. Charcoal is starting for the steak, country ribs, & some chicken thighs. Our baby turned 50 yesterday and she got to come today to celebrate.

I'm hoping not to use our generator at all this winter.

Power is still out. There are so many borer killed ash trees along the roads that power outages will be happening here every time it rains followed by high winds. JCP&L says power will be restored at 3:30 PM - I am dubious.

Good morning. Power went out at 4:45 AM, but cable is still on. Generator is cranking away. White out snow squalls predicted for early afternoon.

Power is still out. There are so many borer killed ash trees along the roads that power outages will be happening here every time it rains followed by high winds. JCP&L says power will be restored at 3:30 PM - I am dubious.

Why don’t they just cut down the trees so that it doesn’t keep happening?

We have an occasional pine fall on the lines but not often. I've got a generator on standby to keep incubators going. In a real crisis it would power 1 1500 watt space heater that would keep our pipes from freezing inside. We had 3 nights last winter and we got along well. One night this week we are expecting one night of 18° and then a few in the low 20's. The long range forecast says our winter is about over in 2 weeks. Need to get tomato and other plants started now.

We went to the park and then grocery shopping. I was surprised by the bill at the store, less than what I expected based on the amount we walked out with. I did notice that the bouquets that I’ve been getting for $5 are now $6. Five bucks was pushing it.

I never lived in FL north of the south end of Polk County. Some winters we never got a frost. My N Florida relatives had a little better weather for having 4 seasons. Rare occasions they even got a lite snow that stuck for a few hours.
