The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Well, we really NEED about 500 mg of sodium each day, unless you’re outside sweating.
A pinch of salt is 1\16 of a teaspoon, which is something like 100 mg and then it would be put on 4 apples, so that would be 25mg per apple.

The same thing would apply to a cake with half a teaspoon of salt in it. That would be 1000mg. If the cake was a 9x13 cake, and split into 12, then the sodium would be about 83 mg of sodium.

Home baked foods are already fairly low in sodium which is one reason for them being healthier than store stuff.

When you mentioned someone always gets hurt, I thought of the kids. But for sure watch out for yourself! It's like in a plane, you have to put your own oxygen mask on first.
I did mean the kids. Some of us adults too.
I hate you have such stressful work, DMC. I wish you could find something more enjoyable. But you are doing something worthwhile, and I know plenty of those kids appreciate you.
It’s been less stressful the last couple weeks. The worst child I had moved. I hate to say it, but I don’t think one person was sad about it. There are some really awful kids but there are a lot of good ones too. I like so many of the adults I work with. I’ll suck it up until I can’t do it anymore.
