The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

When I was growing up in FL we had a big lemon tree that was an ever bearing type and we had lemonade any time we wanted it. I could eat them off the tree with salt shaker to doctor them with. They made my teeth get really sharp. :)
Lucky!!! I love lemonade!!!

Also sorry for anyone I upset earlier. That really was not my intention.

The sun is shining bright and hopefully the rains will stall tomorrow. It is possible they will hold off until Sunday. I'll spend my afternoon walking. Maybe I should say pulled behind a tiller. One down side to the weather it looks like we are scheduled for a killing frost Tuesday morning.
I love the sunshine for you but why is the frost coming?! I thought spring was coming?!
Hi Mad, how are things going?
Good! Obsessed with my new chicks lol but other than that, I'm back to having free mornings until I readjust my schedule. How are things over there? Do you miss Florida?
I miss having fresh lemons to make lemonade with. I put out 2 lemon trees here but after 3 straight nights of 15° lows I lost them.
I thought Lemon trees were near impossible to kill. My sister had a stubborn one for years. They had to dig so far down in the soil to get rid of the roots. But the other lemon tree her neighbor produces an overwhelming amount. I wonder what kind it is 🤔

Glad you're enjoying those cute new chicks! Things are ok here. Sometimes I miss seeing all the beautiful FL water but the traffic here is much easier to deal with (no tourists)

It's just that final death throw of old man winter. Right now I'm soaking wet from working outside in the mid 80's.

I don't really remember what killed our lemon tree. If it was the year that icicles formed in trees that were as big as my legs. I vividly remember seeing them on my walk to school a few blocks from home.
