Funny, I was a wreck last night because of these little walking chicken nuggets.

@janiedoe mentioned putting something at the bottom of my gate so the chicks don't go through them. I was so busy yesterday, I made a point that I would do it but I thought I had time if they'd stay closer to mom.
Ommmmmg I WAS WRONG I'm in the middle of making dinner and I see 1 chick out and about far from mom and way too close to the main flock's gate. It ended up getting through - squeezing through the tiniest gap! and I was frantically running to get it before the other hens noticed thank goodness chick is safe AND NOW it's protected with a barrier.

I'm glad you caught it before it got too far! I've learned from experience, that if the can squeeze through a crack, they will.

They have just posted There is a marginal risk of severe weather today. It's dark cloudy already. The rain is not much of a risk before 5pm. Measured rain is not supposed to be but around .05". Possibly .1 of an inch.

Same here. Possible severe weather, very dark and dreary. Just sprinkles so far, though.

Growing up in Kansas, those sirens were a part of our routine...so many storms (uffda as someone I know would say!). This is the first one I've heard since leaving KS in 2010. And it would be fine with me to never hear them again.

That's terrible! I hope you're able to recover today from that. Sounds stressful but glad you're okay! I hope no one was hurt where it hit.

Morning Mad, this is from the weather channel:
"At least three people were killed as powerful tornadoes swept through parts of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Arkansas, leaving severe damage to homes and other buildings in their path."

I wish @swampfox440 would check in so we know he's ok (he's in OH). We were lucky here, just a lot of wind and rain.
