The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

G’morning everyone. Very late start for me today, but I don’t have a headache and I slept all night.

DH got a nice surprise the other day. He was called into a meeting at work, thought he was in trouble. Our medical insurance policy goes from June to June, but BCBS uses an annual deductible that follows the calendar year. So when our policy renews in June they can increase our deductible. If we pay that deductible from June through December, but DH has a procedure in January then we have to pay again starting January. This has kept him from getting his knees replaced, and they are BAD. His employer is going to pay the out of pocket and if his 300 hours of PTO isn’t enough bough to cover his time off they’ll pay his salary. He cried.

That is awesome news IM, his employers must have a high regard for Igor!

Thanks Debby, it really is. He is the longest tenured employee at the company. He has the highest graduation rate and his name is all over their reviews so it’s a win for them too. I imagine he’ll stay there for a while yet even though he’s near retirement.

Glad he works for an employer that values him!

When will he have his surgery?
