That's just the windchill. If you stay out of the wind it doesn't hit you. Anything below around 20F feels about the same otherwise, just very cold!

We never let our chickens out when it's like that. It has to be 20F and little to no wind, and as low as 15F if the sun is out.

We have just a dusting up until now, as it's snowing now, but it won't be much. We're supposed to have -25F windchill tonight so we're going out soon to be sure everyone's going to be okay tonight.

Hubby just corrected me. It's tomorrow night the -25F windchill hits. The low will be -2F so the wind will drive the windchill down. Tonight the low is 2 (positive), and the wind isn't as bad so only -16F windchill. Oh really, big difference lol.

It all sounds like a whole lot of "stay indoors" to me. I haven't forgotten those frigid temps and windchills from WY.
