That's really interesting, I bet those sheep look a lot skinnier when you're done! You can share pictures of that any time, I've never seen sheep shearing before.

Thanks, Debby! Yes! It definitely helps see what condition they are in without all that wool! An adult Rambouillet (average American wool sheep's) year fleece will weigh at least 10 pounds (less or more mostly depending on health and nutrition).

The sheep in the 2nd picture were mostly Corriedales and probably 18 months from their last shearing. Their fleeces were probably at least 15 lbs.

Yep, thanks! I hope you slept well, too! I just woke up once is all and went back to bed! It's just an overcast morning here, but we have snow on the ground and all the chickens are s(_)itting on the porch because their little feetsies are cold.

I did find that girl roosting in the trusses. All by herself, too, which is silly. I'll get her down if it gets colder and put her in the coop. At least I know where she is, though.

I got news for ya, it has spread to family in California too. My FIL dislocated his shoulder and skinned himself up real bad. Says he was taking in the trash cans and denies falling but nobody is buying that. My SIL was hit by another driver, t boned, just a few minutes after dropping off a 90+ year old aunt at home. Car is total loss. She was going to use MIL’s wheel chair van to take sick dog to vet but it has a check engine light. I say to H E double hockey sticks with 2024.

I hope your luck is better in 2025.

I was watching some videos on YouTube today and saw where eggs are like $10 a dozen in San Diego. @ronott1 are you seeing those prices where you are also?

I was at a store yesterday that was $9.83 for an 18 count. I am getting eggs on Monday from a students parent for $4 a dozen.

Good morning, DMC. I'm glad your trip was a success. Its been in the 50s and 60s here daytime, although we had an 80 last week. We have about 6 nights of below freezing starting Sunday, but days will be in the low to mid 40s, so not so bad.
