DH's birthday is tomorrow. He never wants a big deal made out of it, but that's difficult to me...birthdays are meant to be celebrated. He told me no cake this year, so I've made brownies. Marriage is all about compromises, right?

What sort of busy are you having IM? The only kind of busy I've had today is on the phone. It's time to get this day started!

I canned split pea soup, baked ham hocks and beans and cleaned up the kitchen. Worked on the pantry a little bit. Researched some bean recipes, think I’m going to put up these New Mexico style pintos. It includes hamburger so would be a good meal starter for various things.
