I had my pre-surgical consultation this morning (cataract surgery on right eye Monday) and my eyes are still dilated and sore. I'll be out the rest of today, should be ok tomorrow. You all have a good afternoon!
I hope the surgery goes well!

I hope you will feel better soon. You're such a young chick, I don't know how you could possibly have cataracts.

Recently I read Never Flinch by Steven King. It is a sequel to Mr. Mercedes:

It's the second standalone novel featuring the character Holly Gibney, following her introduction in Mr. Mercedes. While it can be read as a standalone, it builds upon the events and relationships established in previous books, particularly the Mr. Mercedes trilogy and the novel HollY
I will add it to the queue for the year 3535.

Not exactly. An audiobook is an ebook but an ebook is not necessarily an audiobook. I just read mine so I don't buy audiobooks. Eventually, when my vission gets worse, I will do so.
Thanks Janie! I don't think I've ever bought an audio book, maybe out thrifting or something. I usually check them out through Libby. (Sorry, I know I should've just googled it. I typed in 'eBook' and didn't figure anything out and instead of typing "what is an eBook," I took the ask Janie route...)

Hi Debby! I hope the eyes are good now! They better know to take good care of you on Monday, or they'll have a whole flock of crazy chicken people after them! I feel like we have the same schedule, I can't remember what it was last time, but I just had my eye appointment, too. (I'm switching optometrists, though, because I'm not happy with mine.)

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!

Don't forget to read the 3rd book in the triology, "Finders Keepers". And the standalone book "Holly" is good too.

Good morning to you all! Feeling better this morning, thank you.

I'm ready to have this stuff over with, so Monday I'll get my right eye taken care of and 09-08 will get my left eye done.

Bonus of the surgery, I was told afterward I'm not supposed to lift more than 5lbs and shouldn't bend over to pick up anything. That means DH will have to take care of the cat box for a few days! Color me winning!!:woot

I'm not sure that's a great trade off. I think I'd rather scoop the cat box. In any case, I hope your surgery goes well and you recover quickly.
My brother says cataract surgery was the best thing he's had done. He can see to drive in the evenings again.

I've been scooping the kitty box for 3 cats since 2016, it's part of the daily routine. I'm just looking for the bright side :)

That's great to hear how it worked out for your brother!
